Episode 008: Managing Burnout, Meeting People and Making Fun of 2021

Unfortunately, entrepreneurs are very likely to experience burnout; factors include being socially isolated, being highly passionate about their work, limited safety net, and the high uncertainty that goes with owning a business.  Identify these possible burnout triggers and find ways to adapt. We have found being flexible is crucial to avoiding burnout.

Then we look at the pros and cons of networking.

PROS

  • In the right group you meet people who become mentors, friends, referrals or clients.

  • Networking events help you develop your pitch/elevator speech.

  • If the event or group provides content AND connections you can learn something new to help your business, your personal development or just re-energize you.

CONS

  • Networking events often don’t offer immediate results

  • Often cost money and time
